Out for sale the next few days is Nissan’s newest Maxima. The 2014 Nissan Maxima 3.5 S, which is base model in the line, will set you back $31,810, while the upgraded Maxima 3.5 SV will be a tad more expensive at $34,900.
The Maxima will be packing the same 3.5L V6 engine, rated at 290bhp and 261lb-ft of torque, under the hood alongside a continuously variable transmission. This configuration, all in all, enables the flagship vehicle to have the right balance of power, agility and acceleration inside the Maxima’s neat package.
What’s even better news is that the 3.5 S variant will be featuring a limited edition package that packs smoked xenon headlights, compass in the rear view mirror, 18inch aluminom/alloy silver wheels, rear spoiler, fog lamps, outside mirrors with integrated turn signals and a metallic trim. The configuration sets you back though with a cool additional $750. On the other hand, the 3.5 SV comes standard with a rear view monitor, USB connectivity and a 7.0inch satellite radio and color monitor setup.
The 2014 Nissan Maxima is available on Gun Metallic and Midnight Garnet color variants. Additional features that are available, at a price of course are: premium audio system, hard-drive navigation with traffic, and weather and voice recognition.
Competing directly with the 2014 Nissan Maxima are the Toyota Avalon, which starts $31,800 like the Maxima and the Ford Taurus which starts at $27,500. All these are powered with similarly powered 3.5L V6 engines.
